1. Acceptance

By participating in the Comms Readiness Index survey, you agree to these Terms of Participation.

2. Purpose of the Initiative

The Comms Readiness Index is a research and benchmarking initiative designed to better understand communications readiness across the mining sector.

Participation contributes to aggregated industry analysis and benchmarking.

3. Eligibility

Participants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;

  • Work within, support, supply, consult to, or advise organisations operating in the mining sector;

  • Complete the survey in a professional capacity;

  • Provide responses that are accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Aprio Group reserves the right to exclude responses that appear unrelated to the mining sector or that may compromise the integrity of the benchmarking process.

4. Participation

Participation is entirely voluntary.

Participants may discontinue the survey at any time prior to submission.

5. Use of Responses

By submitting a response, participants grant Aprio Group the right to:

  • Analyse submitted information;

  • Produce benchmarks and reports;

  • Develop future indices and readiness assessments;

  • Conduct trend analysis and research;

  • Use aggregated, anonymised, and de-identified data for future benchmarking and industry analysis.

No compensation is payable for participation.

6. Confidentiality

Aprio Group will take reasonable steps to maintain the confidentiality of survey responses.

Participants should avoid submitting information that is confidential, classified, legally restricted, or commercially sensitive beyond what is reasonably required to complete the survey.

7. Follow-Up Discussions

Aprio Group may invite participants or organisations to discuss survey findings, benchmarking results, or related communications challenges.

Any such engagement is optional and does not create any obligation to purchase services or enter into a commercial relationship.

8. Intellectual Property

All survey content, methodologies, frameworks, scoring systems, reports, benchmarks, branding, and associated materials remain the intellectual property of Aprio Group unless otherwise stated.

Participation does not transfer any ownership rights.

9. No Professional Advice

Survey outputs, benchmarks, reports, and findings are provided for informational purposes only.

They do not constitute legal, financial, regulatory, investment, or professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aprio Group shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from:

  • Participation in the survey;

  • Reliance on survey findings or reports;

  • Technical interruptions or data transmission issues;

  • Any decisions made using survey outputs.

11. Changes to the Initiative

Aprio Group reserves the right to amend, suspend, modify, or discontinue the Comms Readiness Index at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa unless otherwise required by applicable legislation.
